On the eve of the Federal election one might ponder what benefits if any are there to be gained (or lost) with the election of Julia or Tony?

    What say you ?

I would say that podiatry pre se will get no benefit from either Julia or Tony, except maybe a small number who might get a gig in one of the GP Superclinics being introduced by labor. But I wouldn't hold my breath for any significant changes to things like medicare rebates etc. If Tony gets in I don't think health will get any priority in their first term (except the 1800 hospital beds they promised) and if Julia is in their priority will be funding the GP Superclinics & continuing with the federal takeover of the health system from the states.

  3. Not much for sometime, really nobody knows whats going on. ´The age´ is talking about a hung paraliment at the moment. Watch the stockmarket dive on Monday and let the mud slinging and background deals begin, again.

GP super clinics are only super for GPs.
