My name is Paul Addicott and I have recently moved from Australia to Edinburgh on a 5 year ancestral visa and I do hold HPC registration. I graduated from QUT in 2008 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) degree. Since graduation I have been working as a nationally registered podiatrist in a private podiatry practice and as podiatry consultant at a Nursing Home on the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia. Please find my attached resume outlining my skills, knowledge and relevant experience.

My major interests in Podiatry include Biomechanical diagnosis and treatment with physical and orthotic therapy. In the last 2 years I have been involved in the diagnosis and treatment a number of different biomechanical injuries. With this I had to use a number of techniques to motivate and treat including padding and strapping, stretching, hot and cold therapy, diagnostic/therapeutic ultrasound, physical therapy and the use of orthotics (Foot orthotic, Ankle Foot Orthotic and moon boots).

I also have a strong interest in diabetes and en joy helping patients in learning and understanding how diabetes affects their lives and their feet. This includes screening for diabetic complications through checking their vascular, neurological, dermatological and biomechanical status as well as checking that the patient’s footwear is appropriate and fitted correctly.

I look forward to hearing from you. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
