Canadian province makes it illegal to require women to wear high heels

    Yes... well there are some Podiatrists (of all professions... & on this forum... of all places) who could take a note from this Canadian province pertaining to the employee health & safety threat that high heels can potentially elicit...

    But hey, if you want to wear high heels, go ahead & do it (your choice)... but one shouldn't feel pressured, forced or obligated to do so... particularly when there is an evident health/biomechanical/injury risk...

    Good for British Columbia!
    This continues to be a problem in the rest of the world. Some airlines, for example, still require female flight attendants to wear high heels. There was a big story 2 years ago on El Al flight attendants protesting a new high heel policy.
