With great pleasure I can announce Dr Kevin Kirby and Craig Payne, will be lecturing in Australia this year in both Sydney and Melbourne. The two most prolific contributors to Podiatry Arena will be lecturing at the Sydney Hilton (August 9th, 2008) and Melbourne Hilton on the Park (August 10th, 2008).

Please follow the link for this wonderful opportunity to see two of the best in the business provide up-to-date clinical information, research and clinical pearls of wisdom.

The day has been approved by the NSW Podiatrists Registration Board for 20 hours of CPPE pursuant section 17.

  3. I actually did think about the April Fools issue after it was posted, but I assure you that everything is ready for August!

    :boohoo: What about Brisbane?

It wouldn't be a true rockstar tour without covering the whole east coast...;)

  5. Donna, I have 2 options for you.

    Sydney Option:
Fly to Sydney for the conference on the Sat and then stay overnight and do Australia's largest annual fun run the City to Surf on the Sunday morning
    http://city2surf.sunherald.com.au

    Melbourne Option:
Fly to Launceston to see the pride of Brisbane - the Brisbance Lions play Hawthorn in the AFL on Sat afternoon and then fly/ferry to Melbourne ready for Kirby/Payne on the Sunday!

I guess there is a 3rd option which would see you fly to Sydney for the Sat event and then fly to Melbourne to catch it all again on the Sun???

Hopefully you will find one of these options suitable.
    Cheers
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

Thanks for organising my weekend for me ;) saved me the trouble... Yes I believe I may have to try and overcome my extreme dislike of flying to attend...

My boss asked do you have a more detailed program that tells who is speaking about which topics?

    Regards

    Donna

Any chance of this being video taped for others without the budget to attend. Would gladly pay for dvds and others probably would too. Could be a fundraiser for the forum with commissions to the presenters.

  15. We're now heading from Darwin in the Northern Territory to Sydney in preparation for our two days of lectures in Sydney and Melbourne this coming weekend. Should be a great day of learning for all of us. Lots of new stuff to talk about.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there! Please introduce yourself to me if you are a contributor to Podiatry Arena so I can put a face to the name.

Hi just thought I would add what a great day we had at the Hilton in Melbourne. What a pleasure to be lectured by 2 very available speakers. Both Craig and KEvin where happy to talk to anyone who chose to make themselves known.
Hope you had a good flight home Kevin, I have no doubt you will be inundated with all our emails requesting the info you kindly offered to send us.:empathy: You may need a :morning:

Congratulations to Keystone Ed for organising a very well run event. I look forward to more:D

It was also great to see many unfamiliar faces there.
Having spoke to a few pods who visit arena but have not introduced themselves,
I look forward to saying hi again here.

    Cheers

  19. Thanks to Phil Hartshorne and Daryl Phillips for organizing such a nice two days of lectures for Craig Payne and I in Sydney and Melbourne this last weekend. My wife, Pam, and I had a wonderful time vacationing in the Northern Territory in a campervan for the week before the seminars. I also greatly enjoyed the two days with all the podiatrists that attended the lectures. Nice to finally be able to associate faces with names that I had only previously known as names on Podiatry Arena.

I promised all of you a comprehensive list of foot orthosis and orthosis biomechanics research papers and I thought it could be more widely distributed if I posted it here on Podiatry Arena. There are likely a few papers I have left out, but I think I got most of them. Please let me know if anyone has any others to add to the list.
