Senior Podiatrist Vacancy Band 7 Private Practice Ayrshire

    StEPS Podiatry® is a private podiatry company based in South Ayrshire, Scotland. At StEPS Podiatry® we aim to challenge the traditional paradigm of chiropody care, re-shaping the way that foot health services are delivered, and offering the most cutting edge, evidence based treatments. Our vision is to become the leading provider of private foot health services in the UK, and globally. We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and focused podiatrist to join our existing team in the role of Senior Podiatrist. The successful candidate will be able to offer the highest standards of patient centered care, as well as leading and managing a small team. We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate a mindset that is customer focused, and deliver podiatry care that is innovative and forward thinking. This role is full time (37.5 hours per week) but a job share may be considered. Salary will be a Band 7 equivalent (£30,764 - £35,536) the point of scale being dependent on experience and qualifications.

    Role Responsibilities
    • Delivering quality patient centered care, and providing the most cutting edge assessments and treatments that are evidence based.
    • Working across two clinical sites, as well as domiciliary visits including care homes.
    • Developing innovative health care partnerships to facilitate MDT working.
    • Managing and leading a small team.

    Essential
    The ideal candidate will:
    • Have a minimum 2:1 degree in Podiatry.
    • Be HCPC registered
    • Have a minimum of three years experience in a clinical setting.
    • A full driving license; however you will not be required to use your own car.
    • Experienced in nail surgery, diabetic foot care, wound care and general podiatry.
    • Highly skilled in biomechanics and the use of functional foot orthoses, with a focus on sports injuries.
    • An independent prescriber, or with ambitions to undertake the training to become one in the next 12 months.
    • Have some experience of leading a team.
    • Very experienced in delivering the highest standards of customer service.

    Desirable
    • PhD or Master’s Degree
    • The ability to carry out audit and small research projects
    • Qualifications in reflexology / acupuncture / manipulation or other extended scope practices.
