Sudden sharp pains base of big toe, injury likely

    Hi,
    So, apparently I've injured something on my left foot. Yesterday, a lot of gardening work and squatting to pull weeds and such and had feet flexed a lot while doing this for hours with a few breaks. I'm no spring chicken but I'm in pretty good shape and do this stuff a lot. I was fine when I finished (well, except for my back issues) but when getting ready for bed I noticed my feet were a little achy and I kind of stood on the ball of the left foot and lifted my heel a bit to stretch it...
