    Colleagues,

I don't know about you, but I have come across cases of people who have had people come to the house for ?18-20. I think that this is very clever marketing on the part of the practitioner.

I have found, that doing a more thorough job, the patient does not require treatment once every 6 weeks, but in many cases 10-12 weeks.

I think that in many cases, the patient has been ripped off, as in the case of OX nails, hardly any nail has been removed.

Oh the practitioners charging?20, the head of the training school where they qualify from recommends (I don't know whether it is ?30 or ?35).

Had a patient the other day with a callous that had been treated every 6 weeks. Codswallop had it been treated every 6 weeks properly!

    Hi Simon,

If you think charging a low fee "very clever marketing" you clearly have no idea of how marketing works.

I'm surprised that posts like this are still going on tbh. It's 2016 for goodness sake!
My advice to anyone with similar problems is to stop thinking like an FHP and go and upgrade your knowledge base.
If you are an FHP I suggest you take the track offered by SMAE and upgrade to Podiatry.
If you are already a Podiatrist you need to take a long, hard look at where you want to be professionally in, say, five years. Then make it happen.
