    In this role you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide a culturally appropriate podiatry and diabetes education service including screening, clinical care, promoting self management and health promotion to Aboriginal people with high risk feet, their families and the community as a whole.

    Service will be provided at a variety of locations across all five health districts in the southern Perth including a mobile clinic.

    ESSENTIAL
    1.Tertiary qualification in Podiatry and eligible for registration by the Podiatrists Registration Board of W.A.

    2.Substantial Podiatry clinical experience and proven advanced Podiatry clinical practice skills relevant to the clinical area, including skills in the podiatry treatment of diabetic clients.

    3.Proven ability to plan, develop, coordinate, implement and review Podiatry services.

    4.Understanding of the principles of a Primary Health approach to health service delivery and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

    5.Well-developed communication (verbal and written) skills and effective interpersonal skills.

    6.Current “C “or “C.A. “class drivers licence.

    7.Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.

    DESIRABLE
    1.Possession of or progress towards relevant post-graduate qualifications.
    2.Experience working in Aboriginal communities.
