We've just had a visit from a rep plugging the "latest" in anti-fungal treatments.

It's a product called Calmagen. The active ingredient is "a plant based bioactive" called AMYCOT.

Apart from the advertising literature that the rep supplied which has a couple of proof of efficacy in vivo & in vitro trials, I can find precious little about this product on the web.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any studies or info on the product other than the company website?

I have been using this product in our clinic for at least 12 months and find it to be very effective and get at least an 80% success rate with most of our patients along with consultations every 6-8 weeks. There is not a lot of literature around, I don't think it has been used very long in Australia, but it seems to work very well. Most patients like that it is simple to apply and I find they comply with the use of it. Hope this helps.
