    Hello, I hope to explain clearly.I am Spanish;
    I have a patient to 6 year old with pain in both ankles, with increased Bimalleolar axis and second degree cavus , with rearfoot pronation in heel relaxed. I want treat it with a orthosis and I have doubt of how to control the shock of heel. Can anyone help? Thanks

    Hi, I'm not sure what second degree cavus means? How rigid is the STJ? Have you tried some PPT or low density EVA under the calcaneus as a trial in the shoes before moving onto orthoses?

    We will need more information to go on.
    Where in the ankle does it hurt? Ie what is the diagnosis
    When does it hurt?
    Are you sure that increased shock absorption will help ? Again it comes back to what hurts, then the why and then treatment plans.

    Give us some more information maybe we can help.
