    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had an success in treating chronic paryonchia. I'm a 27 year old female with the condition and it has lasted almost two years with no resolve.

The condition has started to deform the fingernail and pain occurs most days. The fingertip is red, swollen and occasionally yellow pus can be drawn from under the nail.

More recently I was prescribed 2x500mg Clarithromycin per day for a week followed by 2x250mg Clarithromycin for a week. During this I was also given the topical steroid, Dermovate to apply. This has had no effect.

The condition is getting very difficult to deal with on a daily basis. I've been given a plethora of medications to treat it and had no resolution. I've been treated for both fungal and bacterial infections. I'm desperate for a solution so if anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them.

    Many thanks
