I know Auchterarder well and Gleneagles too. The little town is a linear town with all the dwellings situated along the main street. It is called the Lang Toon and is a wee bit like Balamory without the colourful houses. The only real trouble they have in Auchterarder was when the Rangers and Celtic fans stop for a comfort break travelling to and fro Glasgow. With that experience dealing with violent anarchists would be no problem to the local constabulary.

I noted in the news one of the few businesses to remain open yesterday was an Auchterarder antiques dealer. Maybe he was acting out of principle or felt he could corner the market selling artifacts to discerning anarchists, only time will tell.
