I had a nail root killed on both sides in November for an ingrown toenail. I had a problem recently where it was healing nicely then became painful on one side. After antibiotics didn't work the doctor took another look and said some regrowth on the side had been pushing on the skin growing to meet the nail. He scraped the excess nail out and all has been well. Except a week later I noticed the nail chipping on the left side (the side I had issues with) and now the right side is doing it....
