    Whilst the idea is creative(?) we already adjust uppers for our clients on a daily bases through a number of methods.

    But the real issue that is not addressed by any and all of these methods, none change the width of the sole.

    One of the biggest issues we see with certain types of flexible upper materials, the foot over hangs the the sole edge, which can do as much if not more damage and creates an unstable foot position.

    The image shows a shoe with a cupped sole, perfect example of a problem waiting for a client with a bunion if the upper was reshaped to fit the foot, as the foot over hangs the sole, the edge of the sole will create pressure at the plantar aspect and may even invert the fore foot changing the gait.
