    As an orthotist i only supply comp stockings well German class 2s if the ABPI is above 1 or as advised by the consultant/ GP.
    I think that i would always want a medical clarification to try comp stockings on a patient with a vascular compromise but comp class 1 (espechialy french class 1) is so low i dont see it causing a problem
