    hi everyone.

i am a 41 year old mum of 3 young children. i have a husband who works away. i gave up my nursing career to look after the kids. i now need to do something to work the grey cells and get me back out to work. i looked in to fhp courses as i thought this would be something i could set up (ie mobile service) and fit around the family. obviously i am aware it won't be easy to start, but something i could build on.

i looked at the degree in podiatry, and although i have a maths and human biology A level and diploma in nursing, i don't feel able to commit to such an intense course. now reading some of the forums i am doubting my choice.

i thought this course would be a good way to balance everything an earn a little money. i know there will be limitations to such a practise but a very worth while practise if marketed correctly.

firstly am i doing the right thing for the current climate and then which institute do i choose. i thought the collegefhp was the way to go, then i saw the smae institute. i know there is also one in stonebridge and the have just increase the clinical practice, which i feel is essential.

    any advice very welcom

    Hi
Like you i was a qualified nurse, left to have my family then 10 years later embarked on the degree course. i can only advise that you would be well equipped to do the degree course after doing a nursing degree. im just about to finish my 3 years and it has been well worth it . i would advise going the whole hog and doing your degree it would be much more beneficial , and yeah its hard work and tricky with a family but definitely doable :D
