Interested to hear thoughts on prescription of orthoutcs for tarsal coalition in a young adult male with secondary tib post tendonopathy.

However, orthotics should work fine if they have the design features that reduce the load in the posterior tibial tendon and at the same time do not move the foot into a position that produces pain from the 'coalition'

 

Having said that, one of the most significant orthotic considerations is accommodating the usual lack of dorsiflexion via heel raise...

Depending on the severity of the deformity an ankle foot orthotic could also be considered.
