I am specialise in sportpeople since 2001 (french tennis team, several famous sport people in the worldchampionship athletisme, rugby and triathlon..)
our formation is similar I think:
I treat corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, bunions, heel spurs, and arch problems; ankle and foot injuries, deformities and infections; and foot complaints associated with diseases such as diabetes. To treat these problems, I prescribe drugs, order physical therapy, set fractures, and perform surgery.
for sport people the most important of my job is to make orthotics custom insoles.
I also fit corrective inserts called orthotics, design plaster casts and strappings to correct deformities, and design custom-made shoes. I may use a force plate to help design the orthotics. my patients walk across a plate connected to a computer that "reads" the patients' feet. From the computer readout, after a video analyse of the biomechanical movement I drawn the correct design.
the majority of my orthotics insoles are thermomodulable.
We are looking for insert carbon and kevlar elements. most of our primary material is polyurethane like XE 1000, XE 700...
I want to know how is our job in england, perhaps to chat with u and exchange experience.
sorry for my english but it is my last wish... lol to improve my level in english language!
thank u for your answer...
regards
