    Hi everyone! I'm Serena from Italy.

    Hiiii,i need some help.
    I'm writing my thesis as i wrote above but i'm in trouble.
    I need help...
    I can't get the difference between pronation RATE and pronation AMOUNT.
    Can you help ? :-(

    pronation of the Subtalar joint is an angular motion so it is measured in degrees. The amount of pronation is the number of degrees moved during a certain time period. The rate of pronation is the speed of pronation. This would be measured in degrees/ second.

    Pronation of the STJ is often measured by looking at the ankle between the bisection of the heel and the bisection of the leg. This is not a perfect representation of the three dimensional motion of the joint.

    I perfectly understood now!
    The point is i'm translating an english publication and my english is not bad but sometimes there are some tecnical words and i don't know how to translate them without knowing the exact meaning ...

    If you don't mind,and if you have time,i might ask you another little thing:
    "Impact loading" I know what impact means and i know what loading means but i don't know what the two mean together.The all line says" attenuation of impact loading and control of contact pronation".I'm going mad...
    In this case,"contact pronation" means pronation during contact phase?

    Load could be read as applied force. So when the heel hits the ground, the ground applies force to the foot. Impact would imply that you are just looking at forces around the time of contact.
