    Hi all

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on healing of ulceration on the post calc /Achilles area?
Patient is middle age, working active job, can't wear any offloading footwear, vascular wise no issues. Ulceration is deep to bone so treating for osteomyelitis but making no head way with reducing size, I know the location is major issue to healing but anyone else come across this?

    Thanks

    Hi Mr Payne

Yes I have thought about that, some type of flap surgery, issue with this is it will require time off work, self employed own business.
But without any significant time off work it is only going to get worse regardless.
    Thanks
