  1. I now have Daryl Phillips, DPM, on the hunt for old papers and Daryl has come up with two more for me.

The first one is by Lovett and Cotton, one provided by Daryl from the 1898 edition of the Boston Medical and Surgical Journal (Lovett RW, Cotton FJ:: Some practical points in the anatomy of the foot. Boston Med Surg J, 139: 101-107, 1898).

I found virtually the same article written by Lovett and Cotton in 1898 from JBJS. (Lovett RW, Cotton FJ: Some practical points in the anatomy of the foot. JBJS, s1-11:298-315, 1898).

In addition, here is a German paper on the subtalar joint by Fick, can anyone translate this important paper? (Fick R: Handbuch der Anatomie und Mechanik de Gelenke. Jena, Verlag von Gustav Fischer, 1911, pp. 612-626.)

    Thanks Daryl!

    Hello,

I wanted to follow up on this thread as I am looking for paper's on Henke's Axis and would be interested in reading the original paper. Does anyone have an electronic version of it that they could post.

    Many thanks,
    Katinka

Now if you could translate it for me to English, I would greatly appreciate it.

Actually I speak German, so I'll take a look and see what I can do! Many thanks for your quick reply.

  5. Katinka:

It would be great if you could translate this paper from German to English for me. As far as I know, it is the first paper ever within the scientific literature that describes the axis of motion of the subtalar joint.
