It could be a number of things. You need to take a detailed history first.

When did it happen? (how long ago?)
How did it happen?
Is it getting better or worse?
Any pain or neuropathy?
What eases this? or makes it worse?
History of similar inflammation?

With that information you will be better able to make the correct diagnosis. :)
