Hi, my friends who are doctors told me to register on this website to tell my story hopefully it will helop someone.
I suddenly developed morton's neuroma on both of my feet when I was 18. Here is what cured it for me and what did not.
Did helped but did not cure:
-I got cortison shots on both feet about 3 times a year and it worked for 2 years. Then I got tolerance for it and it wasnt working.
-I bought workout shoes that do not bend. Meaning they are not for running. They hardly bend. So my foot was fixed the whole time as it was in a cast. It helped a lot!!!
    -ofcourse stop running, hiking, etc.

    -WHAT REALLY CURED ME:
I had so much pain, I thought of doing surgery. But all doctors told me not to because results were not good. If you think logically your nerve is pinched. So it have to have release between the bones.
I went to the pharmacy CVs and bought toe separators. they costed only $8!!! And they worked. This is how i used them.
Day 1) i applied them for 2 hrs and i placed my feet on the ice pack (never directly to skin). I kept icing it 20 min, 20 min rest, 20 min ice.
Day 2) same thing but for 4 hrs. Same thing with icing.
Day 3-14) i slept in them. Now i have to say when i took them off in the morning my toes hieted a bit. Bones are not used to be spread like that. I don't know if you can do that if you have arthritis or other problems, I'm not a doctor. But it worked for me!!!
My neuroma that I had for 5 years went away completely!!
Now I run, hike, etc. The only thing is sometimes if I run 3 miles, or hike 8 hrs. I still do the routine. I put toe separators before bed, ice for about 2 hrs. 20 min interwals. Then sleep in them. Just to prevent issues again.
I really jope it will help someone. I attached photo of how the separators look. It is similar to what I got. Do not get the pedicure one, you need to really feel the stretch between bones.
And again if you have arthritis or other issues ask your doctor first. :) good luck.
