We need an additional set of goggles for patient carer/ interpreter whilst using laser on patient. These are offered at £100 per pair does anyone know of any cheaper ones or if in fact the extra person needs them?

    Hi Nicki,

As far as I understand, laser is dangerous when pointed at 90% directly into the eye. Using laser on the foot, I would expect that the patient is therefore more at risk than the operator.

I never take the chance, despite the excessive cost of protective glasses. I always insist that anyone in the room wears eye protection at the time when I use laser.

    Better safe than sorry!

    Regards

    Anne
