Three people check into a hotel, sharing a room. They pay £30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager suddenly remembers that the room rate is £25 and gives £5 to the bellboy to return to the people. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that £5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets £2 and gives £1 to each person. Now each person paid £10 and got back £1. So they paid £9 each, totalling £27. The bellboy has £2, totalling £29. Where is the missing £1?

While on the island of Dellzup, you have been captured by the Evil Prince. He has decided to play a game with you. He offers you the choice of two doors, behind one of which lies a hungry lion and behind the other lies treasures beyond your wildest dreams. Guarding one of the doors is a native who always lies and guarding the other door is a native who always tells the truth. Unfortunately, you cannot tell which is which. You may ask one of the natives for help in choosing the door. They both know which door they are guarding, so what single question could you ask?

Punctuate this sentance and provide context so that is grammatically correct:-

Add a single straight line to make this equation true - the equals sign remains untouched.

James recently moved to his first brand new house. When he arrived there he discovered that the builder had forgotten something. James popped down to the local DIY shop to enquire about the prices. Luckily the items are quite cheap at the shop. 7 cost £1.00, 10 cost £2.00 and 100 cost £3.00. What had the builder forgotten and how much will 210 cost?

    8.
