Did anybody see "Tonight" on ITV yesterday? It was all about the mass selling of British medical records in India and it was shocking. There were literally thousands of records being sold to anybody. Apparently this problem arose due to outsourcing to India. If this is what is happening then all NHS hospitals should stop outsourcing immediately!

  2. This is terrible BUT I am not surprise. Here in US antheam BCBS customer representatives are outsourced to India. I can't tell you how many times I had to call there via some 800 # and complain about not being paid for supplemental coverage because of mistake from their end; not mine. For almots a year I had to do this and it finally got resolved when I complained to the Missouri Insurance commission. Even then I was concern about patients' privacy to their plans. I somewhat knew that it was just a matter of time before everything dealing with patients' insurance info would include their medical info as well as other sensitive information. And this HIPAA non-sense is an absolulte joke and nothing more than a way to force already persecuted doctors in this unfair industry to pay outrageous fees for any violation such as a simple sign-in sheet! Nothing is sacred anymore. Humanity is dying if it isn't dead already!
