PodiatryNZ responds to the recent sentencing of a New Zealand Podiatrist.

Crockett’s behaviour lets us all down.
It has just been revealed that Podiatrist, Neville Crockett has been sentenced to imprisonment for his part in child pornography.
This abhorrent behaviour comes as a shock and lets us all down.
Neville is not a current member of Podiatry NZ, but has worked in the Hawke’s bay for many years. This news is particularly disturbing to those local Podiatrists who have generously supported him recently whist he was experiencing ill health.
This behaviour, and his association with the Podiatric profession unfortunately brings unwanted media attention.
It is important to remember that Neville’s behaviour does not in any way detract from the high standards and absolute professionalism exhibited by our other Podiatric colleagues.
