    Dear All,

I am looking for a little help in trying to solve a problem that I am having with the Paromed system that is being used by the company that I do a lot of work for.

I am not at all well versed in the capabilities of Paromed and from what I can gather, there is no option in the software to add a medial heel skive/Kirby skive. I believe a shaping can be made manually by creating an ellipse shaped infill but controlling the angulation and magnitude is difficult and inconsistent.

Could any users of the Paromed system offer any advice as to an easier way to add medial heel skives.

Currently, a pad is being added retrospectively but this is neither accurate nor satisfactory so any help would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks in advance to all

    Robin

    Hi Robin,

Am afraid am not in a position to be able to help you with your request in introducing Kirby skive in the prescription software for foot orthotic fabrication using the Paromed system. I wish I could.

Am looking to invest into a cad-cam system and I found quite a few in the market but am a bit puzzle to reach a decision...

My question is whether you are happy with the Paromed system and if not what other cad-cam system would you recommend? looking at Paromed's website seems very interesting (mills both sides at the same time) but rather expensive.

Any advice would be much apreciated.

  3. Mr Robin, if they are saying they can't mill a medial heel skive then they are talking shiiit. As far as I know the company you work can add medial heel skives it's rather a matter of if they can be bothered to understand the procedure. Don't be fooled the paromed will allow you to add a medical heel skive - the problem is how smooth the top surface of the insole they set it too - the finer tool setting it is the slightly more time it takes.

I am sure anyone from Paromed will be happy to help you in solving your problem, explain to them you are from so and so. They are not like Delcam (I had to say that).

  4. Hi Robin,
I represent Paromed in Australia and NZ, plus we have a pod clinic in Brisbane and are everyday users. Certainly possible and easy. Please ask our service desk, or pm me, happy to assist.

    Kind regards,
    Dieter

    Dear Robin, hi @all
    We are here to help.
Please write your question directly to info@paromed.de
We can discuss your "Kirby", maybe we find it in our database or we can explain how to create it.

    Kind Regards,
    Michael
