I had just talked to Phil about a month or two ago and we had dinner with him and his wife here in Sacramento a few years ago. They were a lovely couple and we had a lot of fun together. I have a hard time believing that she is somehow responsible for Phil's death.

Not good.
I felt this was rather callous from one of the links above:
"BP has learnt the wife is now being taken into custody, but, with the work of magic, will soon be flying home to live outside the country. She, we know, will be back sometime later, perhaps with a new hubby, after collecting the multi-million-dollar insurance from her husband’s death."
Very bad form. -
The police have just confirmed to Channel 9 news here that the wife has been taken into custody.

Here is Phil's last tweet (on Friday, March 20, 2015) of what appears to be possibly the view from his home in the Bahamas. So sorry to see you go, Phil.....you will be missed by many...

I can't believe it. Phil was the first person I worked for over 30 years ago when he was just starting out with Australian Orthotic Laboratories. I was only looking at his linked in profile before this happened, thinking of getting in contact. He had a very straight forward way of looking at lower limb biomechanics and was the hardest worker I ever saw. My thoughts go out to his family. RIP Phil
