    Hey everybody,

I am a podiatry student in Australia, and I have an essay which is discussing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing podiatric biomechanics.

Just wondering if anyone can give me some topics to discuss for each of these points?

    Thanks
    Luuch.

I'm trying to figure out how an academic field could be threatened. Paradigms within a field can be threatened when they fail to explain reality. One approach you could try is to examine the difference between "podiatric" biomechanics and real biomechanics. I have no idea what you are being taught, so that last sentence might not make any sense. Compare what you are being taught, or some of the historical texts on podiatric biomechanics, to some articles you see about the foot in the Journal of Biomechanics. There are a lot of threads here on the arena discussing that distinction.
