    Hello!

Im a relatively new to private practice and kind of missed the PQRS training boat. I was hoping someone could clarify something for me regarding medicare's Diabetic Footwear eval as I started recently doing Nursing homes and I'm wondering how yall handle some of these requirements:

PQRS measure 127 - Diabetic Foot and Ankle Care, Ulcer Prevention – Evaluation of footwear
G8401 Footwear evaluation performed and documented
"Evaluation for Proper Footwear – Includes a foot examination documenting the vascular, neurological, dermatological, and structural/biomechanical findings. The foot should be measured using a standard measuring device, and counseling on appropriate footwear should be based on risk categorization."

Nursing home visit codes are part of this measure. Am I really expected to bring a brannock device with me and measure people's shoe size? How do yall handle this?

    Thanks so much!
