Hi All,

I have just had a 32 week pregnant lady in for a consult with plantar fasciitis. She mentioned she would love to get a foot massage/reflexology but can't due to her pregnancy.....I queried this & she said she had been told that pressing certain pressure points while pregnant is harmful to the baby.
I have not heard this before and can only think that it is something to do with pressure points causing premature labour?
I would love to know if there is a scientific basis for this or is it fable? My patient is desperate for a foot rub so I told her I would seek out the knowledge from the pod community & get back to her.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Kind regards, Lisa
