I am new to the site and wanted to say hi. I have a patient who has swelling on the dorsum of one foot and also toes 2-3. It is very painful for the first day and then eases. The swelling remains for a further 2-3 days. Toe 3 is still swollen and looks bruised but is asymptomatic. He has had 2 episodes in 18 months with the same symptons. He has been tested for gout and this has been ruled out He is mid 40's. Do you have any ideas????
