    Hi

Just reading around forefoot pathomechanics and the need for muscle strengthening/tuning etc to ensure long term success.
The issue I am having is what type of exercises have been found to be effective in the acute and painful stages of for example pre-dislocation syndrome of the Mtpjts?
I am more confident with mid to long term rehab via both proximal and distal muscle strengthening but every time I try them in patient with acute pain, then compliance is poor - they complain the foot feels worse the next day.

    Any pearls of wisdom please?

    Cheers
    Phil
