Our client, Bass Coast Regional Health (BCRH), provides a range of acute, residential aged care and community-based services. They are currently seeking an experienced Podiatrist to take responsibility for the provision of advice and services to inpatient and outpatient clients on all podiatry related matters.

Based on Victoria’s Bass Coast, some 120kms south east of Melbourne, BCRH is close to excellent beaches offering many leisure and sporting activities. To meet the challenges of this role you will be able to demonstrate an ability to assess, diagnose and where appropriate treat (and/or refer to an appropriate department/other professional) all clients presenting with podiatric and related difficulties.

This is a full-time position, reporting to the Director of Community Services, and is a key role within the allied health area. You will be responsible for counselling of clients and carers regarding assessment, treatment and prognosis and instructing carers in assisting in the client’s treatment program. You will also have responsibility for providing clients with the best quality care in accordance with the ethics of the Australian Podiatry Association and BCRH.

Applicants will possess appropriate tertiary qualifications (ie Bachelor of Podiatry) be eligible for membership of the Victorian Podiatry Association
and hold a current practicing certificate with the Podiatry Registration Board of Victoria. Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to their own ongoing professional development.
