    What do you think of manual small masking in order to define pressure characteristics in the forefoot?

    As reliability of masking in plantar pressure measurement analysis seems to be not very good....

    The reliabilty of the researcher probably needs to be determined for each individual study rather than rely on previously published work.

    I would assume it would be more reliable, for example, to use two forefoot masks for the first met head and lateral met heads compared to a masking protocol that requires that each individual met head be masked with 5 masks.

    If a study is looking at intersubject comparisons, then I assume the reliability would be more important than and intervention study looking that is using intrasubject comparisons (as the same mask would be used again for the same subject).
