Today my friend and colleague Marvin Polonsky passed away after losing a battle with a respiratory condition whilst waiting on a lung transplant list.

I had just chatted to him on Tuesday and he was in good spirits and optimistic. In fact he took great pleasure in joking with me over my upcoming attempt at fatherhood.

He may be known to many of you as the co-owner of Precision Orthotics Lab International in New Jersey.

I've known Marvin and his staff for over 10 years and had the pleasure of both visiting them in the US and having Marvin and Aron stay with me here in Ireland.

Unfortunately, I can't make it overseas at the moment so I wanted to just pay my respects here on PA.

My thoughts are with his family, friends and staff today.
