Hi All,

I have always been under the impression that we should not be applying Salicylic acid to patients when they are pregnant or breast-feeding. However I have no evidence-base for this.
A pregnant patient of mine is desperate for me to use Sal. acid on her VPs as she has had so much success previously with it. She refuses cryo or any other more suitable treatments.
Next question:
Same patient wants to sign a consent form so that I will use the Sal. acid whilst she's pregnant and beyond. Where would I stand legally on this? You can see why I need to be sure about the dangers (or otherwise) of Salicylic acid during this time.
Thank you for any advice you can give me on this.
