Hi I would appreciate your advice regarding a strange lesion on my ankle. It has been largely unresponsive to Hydrozole (hydrocortisone/anti fungal agent) applied.
Has strange erythematous circles on the outside as you can see in the attached image.
Has anyone encountered anything like this ? I'm an avid gym goer and thought initially it was of fungal origin but I am not 100% sure given the lack of response to Hydrozole. With thanks.

Might be an idea to switch to a more potent fungicide, such as terbinafine, as the `azole family aren`t man enough to address the tinea. Clotrimazole (the anti-fungal in Hydrozole) is fungistatic, thus requiring a longer period of application to have any effect.

Also the hydrocortisone ingredient in Hydrozole could induce tinea incognito.
