Is that just taping or padding and strapping?

If it is taping the only good current scientific studies are to be found in the physiotherapy and physical therapy journals over the last two decades. These are few and far between however. Although there is a lot of interest from undergraduate podiatry research the works are rarely aired publically because they are undergraduate thesis. The topic probably does not hold enough interest for higher degree/post graduate study (but I stand to be corrected there). The best you can hope for is a manual on techiques and these may well be available as student notes. Tapping became very popular with the introduction of adhesives in the thirties and many of the companies did publish technical manuals as promotions for their product. I seem to recall reading one from Elastoplast.

    Good hunting
