    (Query for Michael),
Okay I thought " = meatballs made in Sweden"..
but then I searched for the recipe..

    1/2 cup (45g) purchased breadcrumbs
    500g Heart Smart beef mince
    1/4 cup (60ml) cream
    I small onion, grated
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    1/8 tsp ground allspice
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp salt
    Freshly ground pepper
    1/4 cup (60ml) olive oil
    3/4 cup (185ml) beef stock
    1 tsp cornflour
    1/2 cup (125ml) cream, extra

I love it when they recommend fat-trimmed "Heart Smart" meat then add all the animal saturated fats, the latter making the former pointless?

Go to Ikea you can buy them!

  3. When I get back I'll ask for the family recipe for you Mark.

We did have some made with Moose meat a couple of weeks ago.

    Very nice.

Thanks Michael (and Mr2Pod I think)
Am battling through the stiffness threads and came across the plank steak and the meatballs and got side tracked.

The Ikea meatballs taste nothing like the real thing. My husband's traditional take on the original recipe is Senap (Swedish mustard) and a touch of Kanel (Cinnamon). ENJOY....
Michael, hope to catch up with you once we arrive in the cold country, after May.
    Cheers,
    Jess
