Tactile Therapy Shift Patients Toward Equilibrium, published in Biomechanics discusses:

    1. The etiology of the Primus Metatarsus Supinatus foot structure.
    2. The measured mean pressure and square area changes in the PMS resulting from tactile stimulation (Cuernavaca Study).

Findings: The Cuernavaca study promotes a high level of confidence that plantar stimulation alters tonicity patterns in the Primus Metatarsus Supinatus (Rothbarts ) foot. These shift in tonicity patterns, move the foot toward homeostasis and may prove to be a useful tool for predicting tactile therapy outcomes.
