I would imagine there isn't a single mention about dietary consumption on how this affects all the bodies functions?.

I imagine that since I do not have a degree in nutrition you would be correct on that

Well considering what we eat/drink can either nurture or degrade the body (collagen/tendons/joints), it's plausible this is where many injuries stem from?.

The book falls at the very first hurdle.

It's vital the 2nd edition sheds masses amount of light on this.

well since you have not read the book, it is hard for you to say it fails.. in relation to a second edition.. since this book is over 800 pages and 280,000 words and took 5 years of my life.. I will let you write the next one..

There has to be a chapter on good/poor dietary practices. One example is that nutritional intake can be the difference between stiffness & compliance.

This suggestion may be what differentiates you from the competition.

Sicknote.. I did not write this book to be in "competition". I wrote it because I saw a gap in the literature that I believe needed to be filled. Whether I have succeeded or not will be down to many people, including you, and I am certain there will be many shortcomings. At the end of the day, I just hope that people find the majority of what they seek with this text on sports medicine of the lower extremity. They will not find it all.. but hopefully they will find most.
    Cheers

I don't think Ive ever read a book/own a book that didn't cover EVERY facet of a subject. I cherish my McGlamry Foot and Ankle Surgery, but it doesn't cover nutrition either. Doesn't make it a bad book.......

Well. I`m shocked and disgusted that you don`t appear to devote a chapter to podiatric dermatology, Simon.

    Congrats on the book :drinks

As `The` official TC groupie, do I get a signed copy?

    Bel

Just noticed `Section 2 - Injury to the Foot and Leg. 8.The Skin and Nails`.....but I bet it doesn`t cover verrucae! Or, or um...eccrine poroma? See! Rubbish.

    }Gets out and burns both editions of his McGlamrys Books{ }Take that you filthy nutrition-less piece of texts!!!!{

Congrats Simon - can't wait to sink my teeth in!

On a side note i'm a little concerned my svelt athletic adonis of a body wasn't considered for the front cover of this masterpiece! Would have had the "ladies" and some of the "men" buying the book just for a gander at my svelt-ness!

    ;)

Does it have anything on making chocolate covered crispy cakes cause then it would cover my main thing on nutrition. I also think Twirly would be convinced then to buy it :).

In fact if it does then Ian Drakard would buy two copies and kindly give me one !!!! ( a copy that is).
