    Hi All,

Well along the same lines as 'things you never want to hear from a patient'.
I have began noticing the all too common lines I find myself saying to patient after patient as ice-breakers, and acting interested in their responces...

    Here are mine:

    - So have you been watching the Olympics?

    - Its been cold hasn't it. Doesnt make you want to get up in the morning.

-pt: My feet are the worst you'll ever see.
Me: No trust me I see a lot of feet...there are definitely worse.

Me: "Please change your shoes to a sensible lace-up"
    Patient: "No."

    Hi :empathy:
I suggested to client number I don't know what that I should just video myself giving advisce that I have to repeat many many times over in ONE day let alone over a week!:bash:
    :craig:
Think it would be much easier to just let them watch a video? What do you think?

    Cheers

Actually, my boss told me about a dermatologist that would play an audio tape to his patients about being "sunsmart" while he was examining their moles. Awesome time management!

"Did you notice that you have this red area/blister/ulcer/toe hanging off? No? Do you remember that we talked about checking your feet daily last time you were here?"
    etc etc

  8. The insoles don't work unless you wear them.

The exercises don't work unless you do them.

These would work better if you put them in the correct shoes.

So you came in for a review of your orthotics... wearing flip flops and having left the orthotics at home.

    Good Thread!!!

    Regards
    Robert

Patient I have been visiting for the last 10 years on a 6 weekly basis.

    Patient: ''How are you Rachel?''

Me: '' Fine thanks but my name is Mandy.''

(treatment here: clip, clip, file file, chop, chop) :butcher:

''See you in 6 weeks Mrs F.''

''Okay Rachel. Thank you, they do feel better.''

    Bless :D
