Would someone be willing to share some photos of OTC devices gone wrong? For example, I've had a number of clients who have used the Dr. Scholls Custom Fit in particular that have encouraged visibly increased STJ axis pronation moments but have failed to take photos. I have a presentation coming up that requires a comparison of OTCs and CFOs and "a picture is worth a thousand words". Thanks in advance!

 

Hi i have not booted up a photo on pod arena before so hope for best this isof large haematoma on child admitted to general hospital where i worked. child was admitted by GP who got nervous when he saw what mum had done to verruca by mum with over the counter cryosurgery device from local superstore. Spot the 8mm VP in the middle of the haematoma. Luckily after all that suffering there was no permanent damage. If i have failed to upload i will try again -perhaps on twitter

Yes, I was referring to over-the-counter/off-the-shelf/pre-fabricated orthotic devices. Particularly photo evidence of them causing more harm than good.

 

So the OTC DID get rid of the wart :)

yes the VP had gone but under the heading of' things gone wrong' we have much pain and suffering plus admission to a busy district general hospital for a 1cm verruca.
