    Hello everyone, found this site quite by accident but glad I did. Been in private practice 10years, love the freedom but yes it can get lonely. Looking forward to making new 'footie' friends.

    im currently working in the NHS! how did you get in to privat practice? who are the people you have to inform? i was thinking about setting up 1 or 2 evenings a week doing doms or somthing like that!

    Hi Zuse, sorry for the delay, been on holiday.
    I don't think you need to inform anyone but you do need to advertise. Yellow pages is good for retired clients and possibly a web page for the workers. If you're in the NHS and know any PNs or DNs see if they will take your business cards to their housebound patients. Hope this helps.

    Don't know 'bout that.

    Wasn't there something similar, in another thread someplace, where someone didn't 'save' the taxman's whack for an entire year, then was hit with the bill ....

    Anyways, it's habit - I don't mind being presented with the obvious, so sometimes choose to include it. Could be worse. I could fold my socks.
