Why do Doctors choose to leave the wires in following surgery? He put 3 screws and the cable in for the dislocation of all 5 metatarsals plus 13 fractures. Waited non weight bearing for 8 weeks. Today 8/24/2017 he removed the screws and left the wire/cable in. I forgot to ask why.
