Hello, My second hand eschmann little sister 3 autoclave has gone doolally and is displaying an error message 'error 2'. My poor little instruments are now trapped, as I am unable to open the door....Anybody advise on how to rectify this problem, or suggest a good autoclave repair man..I'm based in SouthWales area..

    Thanks

    Hi John,

Whoever does your annual pressure test may be able to help you free your instruments. Mine is due for its test this coming Monday & would be happy to ask my guy for you but I'm guessing you're going to need it before then. When mine have locked in previously (little sister model) I switched it off at machine, pressed top cycle select buttn while switching back on. This allowed the door to reset & allow it to open. Following cycle was normal & test strip indicated cycle successful.

    Hope my ramblings helped.

    Regards,

    Mandy.

    Hi john,
If the door is jammed, you can get hold of a pair of long forceps and try and push the metal revolving lock aside and keep twisting the door handle until the metal revolving lock falls into the right palce that should do the trick!

You could try pressing the start button at the same time as the the first temperature setting button. This will start up the whole programme and once finished, the door may release open. Worth a try!
