    Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I have some questions I was hoping someone could answer if they didn't mind. My wife and I are moving to Sacramento California soon so that I can finish my bachelor's degree at CSUS. I am thinking of majoring in biology, but I am also considering majoring in something else and then just taking the prereqs for Pod School. I'm not sure if the schools would care as long as I do well? Also, has anyone been to the Samuel Merrit School in San Francisco? That is the school that I think I would most want to go to, and I was just curious how hard it is to get into the program and how much it costs, etc. Basically any information or tips someone would be willing to give me would be much appreciated. I am going to be volunteering for a Podiatrist for a while before I apply for the school, so I think that will help. Is there anything that I need to do?

    Thanks!
    Stu

    Stuart - Welcome ....

Suggest you make contact with Kevin Kirby - Sacromento is his home town. I am sure he would welcome you to visit with him at his clinic.

    Stuar0908,

If I were you, I would major in whatever is interesting to you keeping in mind that you may someday find yourself employed in that field (medical school is not an absolute even once you have been accepted). Whatever you decide, do well and do well in your prerequisites. Some of my classmates have degrees in English, French, Sports Administration, etc... you get the idea.
