Members do not see these Ads. Sign Up.
I am a private practitioner. Just dipping my toe into advertising my practice.
Does anyone know how to download the SOCAP logo to place in adverts?
    Thanks

I'm sure you can get it in the members section of the website, I recall reading that it can only be used if you are part of the accredited practice scheme.

It may be wise to call Fellmongers path and check

    In good faith

I am certain that you are correct in your statement. Check with Sharon Gray at the society.

    Hi folks,

If you are a member of the society you are entitled to use the logo. You do not need to be part of the accredited practice scheme. Obviously the usual T and Cs apply when using the logo.

    Kevin,

Respecting your experience on Council could you clarify in respect to the content of the Society Code of Conduct version March 2012 as published on the members website; page 22 Advertising Guidelines, Appendix E "3. Use of the Society's Coat of Arms. The Society's Coat of Arms is available only in conjunction with the Society's Practice Accreditation Scheme..."

Am I misunderstanding the guidance. I assumed the reference to the Coat of Arms would be in regard to the Society logo.

    Thanks

    Hi Euan,

I thought I knew the answer as this was a little bug bearer for me. I asked this question at a meeting last year and understood that the rules had been changed to allow universal access to the membership, which may I say I am in favour. Unless I have got the wrong end of the stick, which is possible, I believe I am correct. However quite happy to eat humble pie if its on the menu.

I will find out for you one way or the other and get back to you ASAP. Regards.

Euan, Kevin, you're both right. Until very recently, only accredited practices could use the logo, however, rules have now been changed so that all Society members can benefit from the logo. The logos should used in accordance with the style guidelines, obviously. They can be obtained here:

    http://www.scpod.org/members/online-resources/using-the-society-and-college-brand/

The guidelines and logos have been made available to members following council's wish to support members in marketing their practices and strengthening the podiatric profession. 'Every little helps' in these tough times.

The 2013 code of Conduct is updated to reflect that all members of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists can access the logo.

FAQs on the page also give useful information, and Society branches have been briefed too. If members have any problems accessing the logos, they can get in touch with the Society on enq@scpod.org or 0845 450 3720.

    Hope that's helpful.
